Hey there game fans! This is the first or 3 fun math games in this series, Level Up!
I’m here to share some super fun math games that you can play using just a deck of cards. Why cards? Because they’re easy to carry anywhere—you can keep a deck in your bag and pull it out whenever you need some entertainment. Whether you’re on a road trip, waiting somewhere, or just relaxing at home, card games are a classic way to have fun with both kids and adults.
Now, let’s jump into one of my favorite games: Compare. Here’s how you play:
- Take out the face cards, and count Aces as 1 point.
- Deal the cards to all the players.
- Each player flips over a card, and the player with the highest card wins all the cards from that round.
It’s that simple! But wait—there are some fun twists you can add:
- Double Compare: Flip over 2 cards and add their values together.
- Triple Compare: Flip over 3 cards and add them up.
- Multiplication Compare: Flip over 2 cards and multiply their values. (For tips on multiplication, check out my post on learning multiplication facts!)
These variations make the game more fun and help kids practice different math skills. It’s an easy way to learn while having a great time.
So grab a deck of cards and get ready to shuffle, deal, and compare your way to math mastery! More fun math games are coming your way soon, and I promise your family game nights will never be the same again.
